Goalies

*Bios may not be accurate and have been submitted by random ELC members

Mike Fretwell
Player Bio
Michael is a St. Mary’s High and Loyola College grad, he is also a goalie, enough said. Some days Fret sees beach balls between the pipes and other days he leaves his contacts at home and sees nothing at all...nothing. He is also known to do the “Fretwell”.

Todd “Costanza” Schreiner
Player Bio
Often mistaken for George Costanza., Todd was born in Philly and after constantly being screwed by the Eagles, he moved to Annapolis 5 years ago to escape the black cloud that has plagued that city’s sports teams for years. Since his arrival in Annapolis, with only a bag of change and pocket full of bite size Snickers, he knew this was his new home. If he’s not working deals for STX, he can be seen training to get his mile time under 22 minutes, which would be a personal best. His claim to fame is going to High School with Kobe Bryant and beating him in a game of Horse.

Defense

Matt Pessagno
Player Bio
Matthew is a St. Mary’s High and University of North Carolina graduate. Matt possesses insane stick skills and the “home run” style stick check. Nuts is best known for having an incredible work ethic in the gym and the flashiest stick on the field. However, we are still trying to get him to throw the ball overhand like a big boy.

Kevin "Left on Red" Stodd
Player Bio
Kevin was trained to be a badass in the jungles of Guam. He was captured by a militant vigilante group hell-bent on 'teaching Americans how to be tough'. Kevin broke through his shackles and instead of thrashing them, he tought them lacrosse. This allowed him to fullfill his insatiable need to take the ball away from attackmen. If you're one of our opponents and reading this, I highly advise you to stay away from K-Dawg.

John Kallis
Player Bio
Johnny is a St. Mary’s High School product and an excellent defenseman. Nobody really knows if Johnny ever actually graduated college or not, we do know he was on the Van Wilder program. J5 has a perfect balance of style and grace on the lacrosse field as well as the best smile on the team. Johnny aspires to be an astronaut one day after his days of lacrosse are over.

Greg Vetter
Player Bio
Greg’s not quite sure what he learned at Washington College besides which Seagull to toss. Don’t be fooled by his tough exterior though, this married man prefers spending most of his time in the kitchen sporting his best nautical themed pashmina afghan. I wouldn’t ask him for his lax sauce recipe though…it’s a secret! Translated to the field Vetter takes all the ingredients; strength, speed, stamina and skill and cooks it into the ultimate defenseman.

Zack Burke
Player Bio
Zack is lifelong St. Mary’s High School and Saints lacrosse supporter, even though he currently is the head lacrosse coach at Spalding High School. Burkey played his college ball at UMBC and also has had a lot of professional lacrosse experience. Zack is known for his very physical type play, ‘Wings’ helmet, and numerous penalty minutes. One day Zack hopes to win the MIAA “B” conference lacrosse title.

Theodore Turnblacer aka Big Nasty, as in "What up, Big Nasty?"
Player Bio
Theodore is a St. Mary’s High and Towson University graduate. Theo has tremendous take away checks and great stick skills. Teddy is best known for consistently being the smelliest kid on the team year in and year out and also nicknaming himself “Big Nasty”.

Dave Donohue aka "Oh that? That's my turtle call."
Player Bio
Davidsonville Product. Physical specimen. Distant cousin of turtle man. Winner of "America's Funniest Home Videos" because he thinks baby sisters are weak since they can't play football. Prior St. Mary's JV defensive coordinator- originated the term "The Blue Wave of Justice". Once lived in the Phillipines with a house man named Kimbo. He tought him lacrosse.

Dave Wagner
Player Bio
Newest Squid Defender. His bio is thusfar unknown, but since he's on the ELC, his skills are undeniable.

Midfield

Geoff "X" Christhilf
Player Bio
Everything Geoff knows about life and lax he learned from the musical artist DMX. He takes no prisoners and doesn't listen to "The Man" when making decisions. He exclusively wears Under Armour clothing and Timberland boots. Ask Geoff on a 1-10 scale how much physical fitness figures into the sport. The answer is "0". He is grosely obese and can't dance, yet still seems to put the ball in the net. "I'm a laxer. You're not a laxer."

Will Dalton
Player Bio
Dalton's catch phrase is "Daquiris!!!!" Will is famous for being the man who suggested the line to the writers of Wedding Crashers, "Crabcakes and Lacrosse...That's what Maryland does." They obviously didn't heed his advice, and went on to film a successful film. He was cast in the movie "My Giant" but was beat out by George Muersan. Dalton auditioned to be in The Wrestler, but Mickey Rorke was better looking than him. He was rumored to be in The Reader, but Kate Winslet beat him in a bench press contest. Will's pregame warm-up mix includes Clay Aiken, Mariah Carey, Madonna, India Arie, and The Wiggles.

Jon Beard
Player Bio
Jon is another Davidsonville product - and it shows. He's a self-proclaimed "Lax Bro" that played college ball at Maryland and is master of the high-five.

From there, it was off to UMBC, to play club lacrosse and start The Annapolis Design Company.

Mike Raszewski aka RZ(pronounced Wizzz), as in "What up, Wizz?, aka Swiss Beats aka Master Splinter"
Player Bio

Rz has believed in a simple motto to get him through his lacrosse career and to also gain numerous friends, “whad up son”? **Mike wanted me to add that he also "tore it up as a Pioneer at AACC, son".

Attack

Justin Mullen
Player Bio
Justin is a St. Mary’s High and University of Virginia grad. J Mulls defied the odds of a torn ACL his senior year of high school and still lettered 4 years at UVA and made numerous contributions to the team. Mullenski is commonly referred to as the “younger brother of Jamison” or the 3rd best Mullen to ever play lacrosse.

Jamison "HOF" Mullen
Player Bio
Soon to be inducted into the prestigious St. Mary's High School Hall of Fame, Jamison is a lifelong Annapolitan who graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1997. Best known in the lacrosse world for his SPOD(split of death!)
Matt Lehmann
Player Bio
St. Mary's High School. Delaware University. As a youngster at Severna Park Matt was quoted as saying "you can't play good unless you look good." He is best known for his ability to disappear on the lacrosse field by simply turning sideways. Biggest weekness as a player, when the wind blows he tends to fall over. Greatest lacrosse moment, 2006 Heros Lax summer league BTB buzzer beeter.

Brendan Gill
Player Bio
Great careers at St.Paul's High and University of Virginia. Accepted on the squid squad at the expense of superstar older brother Conor Gill. Brendan's time in the conditioning test was much stronger than Conor.

He aspires one day to become the first Salisbury University alumnus to ride across the country on his mo-ped.

A seasoned veteran of both the ELC and the Trader Joe franchise. Considered a Work Horse for both programs. Whitey's is currently on a recruiting trip to the west coast and has vowed not to return without Jesse Painter.
